Rental Terms
Please read carefully the rental terms of Agis Rental Cars.
- Reservations: In case the selected model is not available, our company reserves the right to provide the customer with another similar vehicle belonging to the same category as the chosen model, or even a larger category vehicle, without any additional cost to the customer.
- Driver’s Age: Minimum age limit is 19 years old for category A and 21 for categories B & C.
- Driver’s License: The driver’s license of the renter must have been issued at least one year before the rental date. Licenses issued by EU & UK are accepted.
- Rental Duration and Minimum Charge: The minimum rental duration is a few hours, and the maximum is 30 days. The minimum rental charge is 1 day.For rental duration longer than 30 days we offer exclusive long term leasing offers.
If the renter wishes to keep the rented vehicle for a period longer than agreed, they must contact our company to extend the rental period in the Rental Agreement, along with the corresponding charge.
If the renter returns the rented vehicle after the agreed period, an extra charge will apply. - Fuel Policy: The renter must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as received. In case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter is responsible for the fuel difference. No refund is given if the vehicle is returned with more fuel than received.
- 24-Hour Roadside Assistance: Our cars are covered by 24-hour roadside assistance.
- Mileage: Our prices include unlimited mileage within Corfu.
- Child Seats – Booster Seats: While our team can’t personally install the car seats, we do provide clear instructions on how to properly install them.
We offer three types of seats upon request and availability free of charge:
a)Infant Child Seat 0-13 kg b)Child Seat 9kg-36kg c)Booster seat18-36kg - Additional Drivers: The additional driver is free. Additional drivers must accept the same terms and conditions as the main driver.The vehicle may be driven only by the registered drivers on the rental contract.Damages caused by unregistered drivers are not covered.
- VAT and Taxes: All our prices are final and include VAT and taxes.
- Vehicle Delivery & Pickup Outside Business Hours: We can deliver or pick up the rented vehicle 24h free of charge.
- Fines – Penalties – Administrative Sanctions: Fines and administrative sanctions resulting from a violation of the traffic code during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter.Should be proven paid upon collection of the vehicle otherwise, renter will be charged for traffic fines and 10€ administration fees at the time that Agis Rental Cars is notified by the renter or the Traffic Authorities.
- Cancellations: Please inform us at least 7 days before the delivery date.
- Reservation Modifications: Without a time limit and depending on availability.
- No-Show: In case the renter does not pick up the vehicle on the agreed day and time without prior written notice to +306940780401(WhatsApp/Viber) the reservation is canceled after 3 hours. This term does not apply in cases of flight or ferry delays.
- Accident: In case of an accident, the renter must inform the company. The insurance company will record the accident, and the renter must provide our company with the report. If there is no record of the accident, the renter assumes full responsibility.
- Vehicle Replacement After Accident
In the event of an accident where the rented vehicle cannot be driven, the rental company will provide a replacement vehicle only subject to availability, and it may be of any vehicle category.If no replacement vehicle is available at the time, the rental company is under no obligation to provide one. In such cases, the damaged vehicle will be transported to the repair facility according to the company’s procedures. - Rental Outside Borders: Driving or transporting our vehicles outside Greece is not allowed.Vehicle is not allowed to board on the ferry/boat unless there is a written permission from the company.
- Animals and Pets: Pets are not allowed inside the vehicles.
- TPL(Third-party liability insurance) is already included in our prices: in case of an accident our insurance company covers the cost of the damage you have caused to another vehicle.DOES NOT COVER DAMAGES TO THE RENTED VEHICLE.
- Deposit policy: (Deposits are FULL refundable upon the return of the vehicle in the agreed-upon condition).Please note that the deposit also serves as insurance, and in the event of any missing key or fuel or damage to the car, the maximum payment required is the amount of deposit.Mandatory for 19 years old drivers(200€ for category A).
- CDW insurance policy+Excess:If you wouldn’t like to pay the refundable deposit,we offer also CDW insurance charged per day. It does not include loss of the key, car glass/windows and the underneath part of the car.Please also note that the renter is responsible for any damage to the tires caused by misuse, negligence or external factors: punctures (nails, glass, etc.) Blowouts (due to hitting a curb or pothole) Excessive or irregular wear due to reckless driving.If the damage is not covered by the (CDW), you are liable up to the excess amount, after which the rental company covers additional costs.
- SuperCDW insurance policy+0 Excess/Deposit:Covers every potential damage except the tires,without deposit or excess.
- Theft / Loss of Vehicle (TP Insurance):Theft Protection (TP) is valid only if the renter returns the vehicle’s keys and rental documents.
Failure to return the keys and/or documents voids the coverage, and the renter is fully responsible for the loss.
The renter’s financial responsibility in case of total theft of the vehicle is estimated by Agis Rental Cars. The Renter acknowledges that the Vehicle is equipped with electronic tracking technology, including but not limited to GPS, cellular telematics, or Bluetooth-based tracking devices (e.g., Apple AirTag). These devices are used solely for the purpose of asset protection & theft recovery - Return of the Vehicle:The renter must return the vehicle with all tires, tools, documents, and accessories at the agreed time and place.Late return without prior notice will result in additional charges.
- Use of the Vehicle – Restrictions:The renter must not use the vehicle:
a) for paid transport,
b) to tow or propel another vehicle or trailer,
c) for racing or off-road driving (including gravel, cliffs, non-asphaltic roads),
d) to transport more passengers than allowed (4 for category A, 5 for other categories),
e) under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
f) by anyone not listed in the rental agreement,
g) by anyone under 21 years old (or under 19 for category A),
h) in violation of Greek traffic laws, - The tenant must return the vehicle to the lessor company in the same good condition you received it.
- In case of mechanical damage, the tenant must immediately notify the lessor company.
- Renter must lock the vehicle whenever it is left unattended
- Keys locked in the car:The renter must notify the company in order either to send a locksmith to open the vehicle or to send a spare key. The render is charged with the cost for the visit of the locksmith or the dispatch of the spare key.
Only the persons mentioned in the agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle.The vehicle will not be used:to tow or propel a vehicle or a trailer,for car racing,for transporting more people than the max mentioned capacity(4 cat.A-5 the rest),on bad non-asphaltic roads (gravel,cliffs etc).
If the driver of a rental car is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, insurance coverage, including collision damage waivers (CDW) and SuperCDW do not apply. This means the renter is fully responsible for all damages or losses, without any cap or protection.
The cost of car damage is payable even if the renter is insured through their credit card or another third-party insurance service. In this case, the renter is required to pay Agis Rental Cars the full repair cost of the car, which they can then claim back from their credit card provider or other insurance entity.
This agreement is governed by Greek law.In case of disputes, the courts of Corfu shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
